Apartment in Cortina d'Ampezzo

Application Context

The project is the complete renovation of an apartment a few steps from the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo, which has involved the reorganization of the plan of the rooms according to the needs of the customer.

The moodboard was mainly based on the use of ancient fir wood defined as "red board", that is the part of the barns that remains out in the sun and gets burnt, obtaining in this way multiple shades that turn between dull yellow, greige, some points of ochre up to chocolate-colored veins, with the characteristic knots.

These warm tones of recycled wood have been placed side by side with more neutral elements, such as Castellavazzo stone sandblasted with water, iron that gives the darkest and most characteristic part and Ekinex plates, that, with their gray reflexes, match all the shades of the project.

Client's Requests

The interior and the family feeling that characterize the whole apartment are also expressed in the choice of plates: the customer was able to choose between the many chrome solutions of Ekinex metal, finding among them the one that best fit into the project moodboard.

In addition, since it was a second home, the customer wanted to be able to remotely monitoring their vacation home, create scenarios and control every room at the same time. Creating a comfortable environment when you arrive means you can manage the heating and cooling even from miles away via your smartphone so you can prepare your home to welcome your guests for a carefree vacation.

Ekinex solutions

For the remote control of the house, the Delégo server has been installed, the Ekinex supervisor for KNX-based installations. The user can manage the functions in the building through any type of device (PC/MAC, touch-PC, smartphone, tablet), as long as it has a web browser, either locally or remotely through internet with the Delégo app. The visual design is customized, suitable for any context and application and optimized for viewing on fixed and mobile platforms.

The device offers the possibility to realize scenarios, temporal sequences, logics, conditions, mathematical operations, temporal planning through simple and intuitive graphic tools; moreover, it allows the notification of events and alarms on video or by e-mail. The plates and buttons of Ekinex wall-mounted devices, with integrated thermostat, have been chosen with metal finishes and carbon color of the FF series, NF line. The grey reflections combine well with all the shades of the design, with the keys oriented vertically to recall the direction of the wooden boards which give a better sense of height to the rooms.
