CRISTINA Rubinetterie Showroom in Brera Design District

Application context

The CRISTINA Rubinetterie Showroom in the Brera Design District of Milan was designed by Elisa Ossino Studio and proposes an innovative sensory experience dedicated to the element of water. Underlying the project is the idea of disrupting the usual belief that the tap is understood as an object with a specific function. The aim is to transform the product into a true experiential involvement and, for this reason, the showroom is designed in such a way as to stimulate interaction between the reverberation of water and the visitor.

Customer requests

The initial requirement that guided the entire design of the exhibition space was to combine different materials that recall a style inspired by nature and its elements, placing extreme importance on the play of light that makes the environment particularly evocative. The choice of products and furnishings create a fusion in a place that is transformed into a path of involvement of the senses that cancels the space-time dimension.

Ekinex Solutions

The desire to create a sensory exhibition space is completed by the choice of Ekinex products that allow management of lighting, via the DALI protocol, climate control, audio and energy consumption.

Products used

DALI lighting

The entire lighting system is managed via the DALI protocol, through Dali Gateways EK-BG1-TP.

Thermoregulation

Room thermoregulation is controlled through thermostats integrated in Signum. In addition, Ekinex took care of interfacing two Daikin VRV machines for heating and cooling and two Daikin recuperators for air exchange via KNX interface, controlled through Delégo.

Audio

Sound diffusion within the exhibition space is managed via two streamers EK-50S-AU from the Sentio line. In addition, presets for Spotify playlists and web radio are retrieved from Delégo and Signum.

Supervision

All functions of the system are controlled via Delégo, through the installation of two Touch Panels 5''.

Signum

In the building, two Signum were installed to control lighting, temperature control and sound.

Sockets

Ekinex took care of installing all the sockets in the showroom, some of them equipped with USB ports.

CRISTINA Rubinetterie

CRISTINA Rubinetterie was founded in Gozzano in 1949 by Ezio Cristina. Over the years, the company began to operate on an industrial scale until it became part of the Caleffi Group, a leading manufacturer of components for heating, air conditioning and plumbing systems.
